This recipe was a total risk, because I’ve never even attempted to make my own hot dogs before, but this turned out even better than expected I used to get SO excited when my mom would make pigs-in-a-blanket for dinner, so this week I tried a twist on a meal that I always loved as a kid!
Servings: 3 (1 serving = 7 pigs)

Carbs per serving: 17 g
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey
2 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoon water
2 whole what carb balance tortillas
Directions:
1. Add ground turkey, spices, and water into blender/food processor and pulse until throughly blended
2. Line plate or small pan with parchment paper, spoon ground turkey mixture onto plate, top with more parchment paper, and pat until flat.
3. Place turkey mix on plate/pan into freezer and freeze for 2-3 hours. Remove from freezer, and slice mixture into mini-hot dog sized chunks. Place on baking sheet.
4. Preheat oven to 375 and bake “hot dogs” for 15 mins. While hot dogs are baking, slice tortilla into strips. When hot dogs are done, remove from oven, warp each in strips of tortilla, and place back in oven for 8 mins. Let cool for 5 mins and enjoy!
