We discussed ‘Surviving’ the Holidays with some lighter versions of classic recipes! As always, we definitely don’t want to be too strict during the holidays ♀️ but balancing the happy with the healthy will help you enjoy the holidays while feeling good on the inside and outside
This appetizer is the perfect recipe to make for any holiday party! They’re perfect 1-serving sizes and will keep you nice and full! I served mine with some wheat crackers on the side
Servings: 20 (serving = 1 cheese ball)
Calories per serving: 76
Protein per serving: 2g
Carbs per serving: 2g
Fat per serving: 6g
Ingredients:
2 blocks reduced fat cream cheese
¼ cup baby carrots
½ Green pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon stevia
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup slivered Almonds
2 teaspoon poppy seeds
2 teaspoon parsley
Directions:
1. Chop carrots and pepper into fine bits and add to large bowl. Add cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, stevia, and onion powder and mix well with hands.
2. Roll mixture into 20 balls (about 2Tbsp each) and place on plate. Place plate in freezer for 5 mins.
3. While balls are in freezer, chop almonds into fine bits and add to plastic bag. Add poppy seeds and parsley to bag. Remove balls from freezer, drop 1 ball into bag and shake around to coat in almond mixture. Repeat until all cheese balls are coated and enjoy!
