This recipe is packed with protein to keep you full and contains half of your reccomended fiber for the whole day Oatmeal is a more carb-heavy food. In a society that is so “carb shy” it is so important to remember that none of our macronutrients (protein, carbs, and fat) are bad. Our bodies need something from each of them!
Complex carbohydrates provide us with vitamins, minerals, and fiber that we need to maintain a healthy G.I. tract. They also provide us with quick energy to keep us feeling alert and energized throughout the day!

Calories per serving: 430 cal
Protein per serving: 20 g
Carbs per serving: 50g (with 12g fiber!)
Ingredients:
½ cup old fashioned oats
1 tablespoon chia seeds
¾ cup skim milk
2 tablespoon Legendary apple pie nut butter (can also use peanut butter or nut butter of choice!)
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Directions:
1. Combine oats, milk, and chia seeds into a jar and shake well. Place in refrigerator over night.
2. Dump oatmeal into bowl and microwave for 1 minute, stir, and then microwave for 1 more minute
3. Stir in nut butter and cinnamon then enjoy!
