

Red meat gets such a bad reputation these days ♀️ Sure, too much of anything is a bad thing, and red meat can contain a lot of saturated fat. Choosing lean red meat is a great way to get all of the protein and iron that red meat contains, with much less unhealthy fats! I had my burger on 647 bread to get some extra fiber, but feel free to wrap yours in a lettuce wrap or whole wheat tortilla (bread is not included in nutrition facts)

Ingredients:
1.5 lbs 93/7 lean ground beef
1 egg
2 tablespoon tomato juice
2 teaspoon steak seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon rosemary
4 slices reduced fat cheddar cheese
Sauce (serving size is 1 Tbsp. Adds 62 calories/serving)
¼ cup mayo
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon bbq sauce
½ tablespoon Worcester sauce
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
1. Mix beef, egg, tomato juice, and spices in a large bowl. Separate into 4 pieces and roll into balls, then pat flat.
2. Place burgers on hot skillet or grill and cook for ~5 mins on each side (until internal temperature reaches 160). When burgers are almost done, top with cheese.
3. While burgers are cooking, mix all ingredients of sauce. Remove burger from cooking and serve with wrapping of choice, top with sauce, and enjoy!
