Egg-in-a-hole and avocado toast have always been two of my favorite breakfasts, so one morning I decided to combine them into one! You’re getting everything your body needs all in one meal: fiber and carbohydrates for quick energy from the toast ♀️, protein from the egg to keep you full , and healthy fats from the avocado to help with satiety and to benefit your heart and brain function
Pictures and videos of the cooking process included! I made 3 servings (1 for me and 2 for Austin)

Protein per serving: 10 g
Carbs per serving: 15 g
Ingredients:
1 slice whole-wheat carb smart bread
1 large egg
½ avocado
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Cut a square out of the center of the bread to make room for the egg
2. Spray pan with olive oil, and place on stovetop on medium heat (you want your pan to be hot, but not to cook too quickly!) Place bread in pan and crack egg into the hole in the center of the bread
3. Cook for about 4 mins and then flip bread/egg to other side and cook for an additional 3-4 mins until yolk is of desired consistency. (I like my yolk to be a little runny!)
4. Place bread/egg on plate and cut avocado in half and remove pit. Use a fork to “mash” the avocado ( video included!) then spoon and spread onto toast
5. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and salad and pepper then enjoy!
